Allow me to introduce myself, I am Hadaster. Yes, I am a Dunmer, Dark Elf, whatever your take. My outspoken attitude put me in, let's say, a 'bad' position with the Imperial Guard and despite flipping a few septims their way I was still imprisoned. For many moons I lay restless in my cell. I was taunted by the other inmates - another Dunmer who said some things about my wife he'll regret should our paths cross again - and as you can expect my mind began to wander onto ending it all. Bizarrely though the Emperor himself stormed through my cell, accompanied by several guards. It seemed he was fleeing some unknown threat. It was then that my route out of the dreaded prison was laid bare before me. Let's just say that I haven't looked back since.
A nice job with this blog, good wording. But I wish people Who told about their beginning scene would add more to it, or cut ahead to when they actually can do something. we all experience the beginning scene the same way, we have no choice. But right after you enter the secret passage out of the cell, you can start to do things worthy of a story. like fighting the guards(you actually can punch a guard several times before he decides to bother with you), wimpering behind them as they fight the assassins, or try getting to the assasins first and pulling a Bruce Lee on them before the guards take a slice.(Props to you if you can pull it off.)

I am Jhibthar, a wood elf archer. My life has taken a weird turn I’ve been imprisoned as long as i can remeber , but then the emperor stormed trough my cell led by his blade. H e told me that I was going to help save the world from an unknown threat. I was like what the frig, Im just a petty theif what can i do. Well anyway I traveled out of my cell through a secret aescape route under the imperial city, traveling with the emporer he was attacked by strange cloaked assins. His captain fell and i was told to seek a different path out of the passage. I scambled down the stairs grabbed what i could off the dead assins. I walk down an otherpassage and was amushed by ferocous rats, they were no match for my gatana. I managed to find some armor and a bow on the body of a deceased skeleton. I practiced my aim a bit , but then i was off through the caves. I killed several rats and a goblin or 2 with my bow as i traveled through the the eary caves.I met up with the emporer again, only to watch his slaughter and the death of yet another blade. H e told me to find his master blade at weynon priory. I set of on what was going to be the adventure for the ages.
