Ridding yourself of swamp fever
So there are a lot of people out there who seem, like my character, to have contracted swamp fever. And what a pain it is if you are of a class where Strength is one of your main attributes (like a warrior for example). Fortunately help is at hand and I know the cure, and I have to tell you that is maybe isn't as difficult as people think. First you need about 20 Nirnroot…. Only joking. In fact ridding yourself of swamp fever is as simple as finding yourself a church in which to pray. I used the one just outside Chorrol on the road between the Imperial City and Chorrol. Wander in, have a quick pray, and you're cured. Not a lot to it really!!
What does swamp fever do to you?
it heavily decreases your physical stats,(strength, endurance, etc)
The only problem is if your infamy is too high. I tried to rid myself of it in a church and I heard some voice from the gods say “Repent evil doer”
I have not come across this “swamp fever” before. I have however come across a disturbing disease called “shakes” while I was a low level adventurer running from an evil necromancer. I was West of Kvatch, when I was scared of that place and the evil Oblivion Gate that rose from it, when I came across a ruined church. Being a curious young treasure hunter I went to investigate. What I saw shocked me. A man clad in black robes was summoning various undead creatures. I sat and watched frozen in fear as I did not know this was possible back then. Suddenly the necromancer turned and saw me. With a wave of his hand a black and purple portal appeared and a skeleton warrior descended from it. Having no weapons and only leather armour, wich I was very proud of as a lesser player, I ran away from this evil being and across the grassy plains eventually coming to a hill. I started climbing up this hill when the scary music began again. Fearing the conjurer had caught up with me and that he could not be shaken from my tail I turned to fight. I was unable to see my foe until, out of the long grass jumped a rat. It bit me and I contracted “shakes”. Not knowing about this disease I loaded a previous game and kept away from the necromancer later to return and beat him mercilessly. I now have a hatred for those oversized vermin.
